Delta Electronics showcased its efficient electric vehicle (EV) electrical control and power systems, vehicle-specific heat dissipation solutions, and diverse charging applications for both four-wheel and two-wheeled EVs at the Taiwan International Smart Mobility Show, held April 23-26.
Notably, Delta introduced its megawatt-level charging solution (Megawatt Charging System, MCS) for the first time. This system includes a charger capable of delivering up to 1MW of power, with expandable capacity to 3MW via power cabinets, specifically designed for rapid charging of heavy-duty electric trucks and buses. Delta also presented urban fast-charging stations and industrial energy storage solutions, demonstrating its commitment to electrification and low-carbon transformation.
Delta’s portfolio of chargers has achieved a global cumulative shipment exceeding 3 million units. The company further integrates charging and payment systems for EVs through smart parking columns currently operational at public charging stations in Tainan and Taoyuan. These columns can be integrated with Delta’s iCMS (Intelligent Community Management System) smart park management platform, enhancing urban low-carbon traffic management.
Addressing commercial vehicle requirements, Delta introduced a new hairpin drive motor utilizing an 800V high-voltage architecture, achieving over 97.5% efficiency and a maximum power output of 330kW. This motor is paired with advanced oil and water cooling technologies for stable performance under heavy loads. Delta’s showcase also included comprehensive air-cooled and liquid-cooled heat dissipation solutions, featuring efficient heat pipes in autonomous system designs and dual-layer cold plates in liquid cooling designs, alongside DC brushless fans crucial for the efficiency of heat exchangers in both electric and fuel-powered vehicles.
In the expanding two-wheeled EV sector, Delta presented charging and power system solutions, including a portable 2kW battery charger for electric scooters. This charger boasts an energy conversion efficiency of up to 94% and can operate effectively in temperatures as high as 50°C. Delta also offers integrated motor, battery, and electrical control systems tailored to bicycle manufacturers, such as a mid-mounted motor for e-bikes—a design recognized with the 2025 iF Design Award—which delivers high-power output for electric-assist bicycles.
