At the 2025 JD Supermarket Baby Festival鈥檚 Ten-Year Industry Conference on April 9th, JD announced a recruitment drive for international and export brands specializing in baby products and toys for its European online retail business. The company also revealed it is currently testing the Joybuy platform in London.
During the press conference, a JD spokesperson emphasized that the company has built user trust through its commitment to quality assurance and speedy delivery services. JD鈥檚 European e-commerce brand, ochama, has already established self-operated warehouses in 24 countries, including the Netherlands, Germany, France, Belgium, and Luxembourg, providing a wide selection of products available for home delivery or pick-up.
Looking ahead, JD aims to implement its 211 delivery service鈥攇uaranteeing delivery within 21 minutes, 1 hour, or 1 day鈥攊n major Western European cities by expanding its infrastructure and leveraging its self-operation model. This collaboration with international, local, and high-quality Chinese brands will provide consumers with a fast and reliable one-stop shopping experience.
Joybuy, JD鈥檚 all-category online retail brand for the European market, leverages JD鈥檚 robust supply chain and logistics capabilities to offer same-day or next-day delivery services in London. The Joybuy app features a broad range of products, including daily necessities, beauty products, 3C electronics, and home appliances.
As the third-largest e-commerce market globally, Britain鈥檚 retail e-commerce sector reached a scale of $160 billion by 2024. Unlike many platforms that rely on cross-border models, JD provides fast fulfillment and quality assurance through its self-operated model abroad. In 2024, JD Global Sale expanded its free shipping areas to Malaysia and Thailand, launched independent websites for these countries, and constructed overseas warehouses in over 100 locations worldwide.
JD has intensified its international expansion efforts since last December. For example, JD Logistics established a third warehouse in Poland this March and initiated self-operated warehousing operations in Japan. On March 10th, JD announced a cooperation agreement with European football associations as an official e-commerce innovation partner for the UEFA Champions League.
Currently, JD is integrated into local supply chains and service networks in over thirty countries across Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, and Europe, serving both consumers and businesses.
