On March 23rd, Jing鼎 Precision, a semiconductor equipment supplier and a subsidiary of Hon Hai Group, convened an audit committee and board meeting, approving a resolution to acquire 51% equity and a majority of board seats in Furandun Technology for NT$138 per share, totaling NT$20.0583 billion.
Jing鼎 stated that Furandun Technology was founded in 1994 with a paid-in capital of NT$2.85 billion and specializes in technical services and maintenance for semiconductor and aerospace equipment. The company anticipates approximately NT$1 billion in revenue for the full year 2024, primarily serving domestic and international wafer manufacturing plants.
According to Jing鼎, the transaction will be funded through Jing鼎’s existing cash reserves. Upon completion, Furandun Technology will become a controlled subsidiary of Jing鼎. The companies expect this collaboration to generate synergies including a more diversified customer base, strengthened operational momentum, an optimized revenue structure, and enhanced operational resilience.
Furthermore, they plan to leverage Furandun’s expertise in aerospace maintenance technology to diversify products and enter high-value-added aerospace businesses, expanding Jing鼎’s business scope and growth potential. The acquisition will also facilitate the integration of key technologies and enhance manufacturing capabilities by combining Jing鼎’s mechanical structure expertise with Furandun’s electromechanical technology strengths.
Jing鼎 emphasized that this acquisition will reinforce its leading position in the semiconductor equipment sector and enable expansion into the aerospace industry, reflecting a commitment to a diversified client base, product offerings, and sustainable long-term development, while also strengthening operational resilience for stable and sustainable growth.
