MediaTek (聯發科), a leading supplier of smartphone SoCs, has officially launched its Kompanio Ultra 910 chip to capitalize on opportunities within the Chromebook market.
Recently, MediaTek has broadened product development beyond smartphones and into other markets. The Kompanio Ultra 910 is designed for high-end Chromebook Plus devices and promises both exceptional performance and all-day battery life.
According to MediaTek, its integrated Agentic AI delivers up to 50 TOPS in AI processing power—a new benchmark for artificial intelligence on terminal products that automates tasks, optimizes workflows, and enables personalized, secure, and efficient computing experiences.
The Kompanio Ultra 910 SoC shares similarities with the Dimensity 9400 but leverages TSMC's (台積電) advanced 3nm process technology. It incorporates an Armv9.2 core architecture featuring a tri-cluster full large-core design, comprising one Cortex-X925 and three Cortex-A720 cores alongside four Cortex-A520 cores.
The Immortalis-G925 MC11 GPU supports MediaTek’s HyperEngine engine and Dimensity OMM Light-chasing Engine, along with a new generation of generative AI technology for faster large language model inference and support for rich SLM+LLM AI models.
Furthermore, the chip offers LPDDR5X-8533 memory support, Wi-Fi 7 connectivity reaching speeds up to 7.3Gbps, and Bluetooth 6.0 capabilities.
