Three New Space Missions Announced, Resumes Available

Today, the crew of the Shenzhou XX manned flight mission met with domestic and foreign media reporters at the Wenchang Hotel, located at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center. The crew comprises Chen Dong (mission commander), Chen Zhongrui, and Wang Jie. Chen Dong (Commander):
Chen Dong, born in December 1978, is a native of Zhengzhou, Henan Province, and holds a master鈥檚 degree. He joined the military in August 1997 and joined the Communist Party of China in April 1999. Currently serving as Commander of the Astronaut Corps of the PLA Air Force and holding the rank of Army Major General, Chen Dong is the first astronaut from China鈥檚 second batch to fly for a third time. Prior to his current role, he commanded an air force regiment and was recognized as a First-Class Pilot. Selected as part of China鈥檚 second batch of astronauts in May 2010, he completed the Shenzhou XI mission in October 2016 and was subsequently awarded the honorary title 'Hero Astronaut' and a Third-Class Astronaut Merit Medal. He also completed the Shenzhou XIV mission in June 2022, receiving a Second-Class Astronaut Merit Medal in March 2023. Following a comprehensive assessment, he was selected to lead the Shenzhou XX mission.
Chen Zhongrui:
Chen Zhongrui, born in October 1984, is a native of Huaixian County, Henan Province, and holds a bachelor鈥檚 degree. He joined the military in September 2003 and joined the Communist Party of China in June 2005. Currently serving as Deputy Commander of the Astronaut Corps of the PLA Air Force and holding the rank of Air Force Senior Colonel, Chen Zhongrui is a First-Class Pilot. Selected as part of China鈥檚 third batch of astronauts in September 2020, he is making his first spaceflight as part of the Shenzhou XX mission.
Wang Jie:
Wang Jie, born in September 1989, is a native of Bayannur City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and holds a PhD. He joined the military in January 2021 and joined the Communist Party of China in June 2009. Currently serving as a Fourth Rank Astronaut at the PLA Astronaut Corps with the rank of Army Senior Colonel, Wang Jie previously worked as an engineer at the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation. Selected as part of China鈥檚 third batch of astronauts in September 2020, he is participating in his first spaceflight as part of the Shenzhou XX mission.
