In response to the dual challenges of labor shortages and high turnover rates in Taiwan’s food service industry, Taiwan Mobile has partnered with local startup Nüwa Creation to launch a fully customizable smart dining robot solution nationwide. This offering is now part of Taiwan Mobile's OP Store Package series, providing restaurant operators more flexible digital upgrade options designed to reduce costs while increasing efficiency.
The Made-in-Taiwan product boasts highly adaptable functions capable of performing tasks such as automatic food delivery and dish collection, as well as replenishing dishes. It can be customized according to each establishment’s specific needs—including tableside voice interaction, task logic, route planning, and walking speed—making it suitable for various restaurant types, healthcare facilities, or hotels.
Compared with the average market price of over NT$300,000 (approximately $10,000 USD) per unit for delivery robots, Taiwan Mobile’s smart dining robot is available on a rental basis. Operators can lease it starting at just NT$8,000 ($265 USD) monthly through OP Store Package subscriptions with an initial fee.
“Our ‘OP Store Package’ offers flexible combinations based on actual needs,” stated Lin De-Wei, Deputy General Manager of the SME Business Unit in Taiwan Mobile. “We collaborate with our professional team to plan the most suitable smart business solutions for each store owner.” This intelligent delivery robot was developed and manufactured by local startup Nüwa Creation.
Taiwan Mobile’s collaboration with a domestic AI startup not only effectively assists small-and medium-sized enterprise owners in addressing labor shortages and operational challenges but also provides customers with an entirely new interactive experience.
