On Truth Social, Trump stated that the U.S. had previously silently endured unfair treatment; now it is taking unprecedented steps to restore jobs and businesses through what he termed an “economic revolution.” He announced that from today onward, most goods imported into America—with exceptions for Canada and Mexico—will be subject to a 10% basic tariff. Approximately sixty trading partners, including the EU, Japan, China, and Taiwan, will face higher retaliatory tariffs beginning April 9th.

Speaking via video at the League party’s congress in Florence, Italy, Musk advocated for zero-tariff agreements between Europe and America to create a free trade zone across both continents.
