UDC and AU Optronics' Subsidiary DAP Invest NT$390 Million in Joint Venture for Large-Sized E-Ink Module Production

In terms of equity structure, DAP holds a majority stake (51%) while E Ink Holdings owns the remaining share (49%). This collaboration aims to leverage each company's strengths: E Ink鈥檚 expertise in electronic paper materials; AUO鈥檚 panel design and smart manufacturing management capabilities; as well as DAP鈥檚 customer resources and global market layout within intelligent retailing and digital signage sectors. The partnership seeks to expand opportunities for large-sized electronic paper display applications.
E Ink Holdings Chairman Lee Cheng-Hao stated, "With our leading technology in E Ink materials globally at its core, we are actively partnering with supply chain partners to build a robust and forward-looking industrial ecosystem." He further emphasized the long-term close cooperation between his company and AUO from initial TFT backplane supplies up until today's joint venture establishment. This partnership demonstrates both companies' strong capabilities and firm commitment towards deepening their layout in the E Ink industry.
