According to Keith Bradsher, The New York Times Beijing Bureau Chief, Chinese export goods remain competitive despite President Trump's trade barriers, largely due to increasing automation. Factories across China are rapidly adopting robot production lines, managed by engineers and electricians. Current levels of factory automation in China now surpass those of the US, Germany, or Japan. The International Federation of Robotics reports that China leads all nations except South Korea and Singapore in terms of robots per 10,000 manufacturing workers. Artificial intelligence (AI) is further lowering production costs and enhancing quality through the integration with these robots. Moreover, Chinese companies such as GeekCar and Cloudmooz are leveraging AI to improve design efficiency, reflecting a strategic national focus on technological advancement.
