Chang Rui Electric to Present Earnings Ahead of Potential Listing
Chang Rui Electric, a supplier of DC motor ceiling fans, is scheduled to be listed by the end of May, following a pre-listing earnings presentation tomorrow. General Manager Yang Weicheng announced the company鈥檚 active expansion into the drone industry, developing power modules for medium and large drones. These modules have successfully passed certification tests from major Japanese manufacturers and are slated to begin shipping in the second half of this year, with an initial shipment of 100 units.

Chairman Tsai Hsiang-ju highlighted that Chang Rui Electric was founded in 2011, initially focusing on providing DC motor ceiling fans. The company distinguishes itself through medium and large sizes, outdoor waterproof models, proprietary designs, and exceptional energy efficiency. Its quick-installation structure patents and modular design have made its ceiling fan products a preferred choice in the US, Australia, and European premium markets. Additionally, the company supplies single-wire wall control technology products to major brands.

Yang Weicheng further elaborated that DC motor ceiling fans currently account for 93.6% of Chang Rui Electric鈥檚 revenue. However, the company is strategically prioritizing the development of drone power modules. These modules have undergone successful certification by major Japanese manufacturers and demonstrate superior performance compared to competitors. The company plans to ship 100 sets of these modules in the second half of 2025, aiming to establish them as a significant growth driver.

For this year, the company鈥檚 target is to ship approximately 100 sets of drone power modules, largely due to secured orders from major Japanese manufacturers. By 2026, they project shipments to increase to between 500 and 1,000 units, with the drone power module segment expected to contribute 5% to 10% of total revenue. The company aims to reach a shipment volume of 2,000 sets by 2027.

Yang Weicheng also discussed production capacity, noting that the company鈥檚 new facility in Longjing, Taichung, is expected to be completed this year and begin mass production in Q1 2026. This facility will include two additional DC fan assembly lines, with approximately 6 to 7 percent allocated to US clients. At full capacity, the Longjing plant is projected to produce up to 200,000 units annually, increasing total annual output across all three plants to 400,000 units.

Addressing potential tariffs on exports to the United States, Yang Weicheng stated that while no discussions have occurred with US clients regarding this issue, Chang Rui Electric utilizes a Free On Board (FOB) pricing model, shifting the responsibility for tariff-related costs to the buyers.

In 2024, Chang Rui Electric reported annual revenue of NT$958 million, a gross margin of 29.7%, and earnings per share of NT$6.40. Looking ahead, Yang Weicheng anticipates that the company鈥檚 first-half performance will exceed last year鈥檚 results, with the second half expected to outperform the first, potentially achieving double-digit growth for the full year.
