Beijing, December 31 (Reporters Huang Angjin and Liu Jiayi) - On the 26th of this month, 'China Radio International Finance Annual Dialogue 2024' was held in Beijing. Ma Maolin, Senior Vice President of Cubestone Co., Ltd., gave an interview to China Radio International at the event.
"For corporate digital transformation," said Ma Maolin, "the country has provided significant support from a macro perspective." He added that design is the origin point for data collection, storage, calculation, management and utilization. Currently, domestic manufacturers are in a phase of overtaking competitors on curves regarding national CAD (Computer-Aided Design) development.
For small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), Ma explained that digital transformation is necessary both from an internal perspective of cost reduction and efficiency improvement as well as for data sharing with larger companies or industries. A key aspect involves migrating data onto the cloud.
Ma pointed out that currently, through policy support, the country has strengthened regulations on big data circulation, data rights confirmation, transactions in various sectors, among other standards. At an implementation level, confirming ownership over data is a prerequisite for its trading; however, achieving such confirmation requires orderly management of these datasets. "If company data remains fragmented or isolated like islands," he noted, "the enterprise cannot form their own digital assets." Furthermore, when SMEs need to connect with larger enterprises and industries, they must go through the process of migrating data onto cloud platforms.
"Data migration for small businesses is extremely challenging," Ma stated. Especially in dealing with large-scale complex designs such as 3D design or multi-disciplinary collaborative projects, it's difficult for SMEs alone to achieve this on clouds due to high volume and computational demands. To address these challenges, Cubestone Co., Ltd.'s current research focus includes helping SMEs build digital assets while ensuring effective data collaboration.
In Ma鈥檚 view, future industry application scenarios centered around cooperative design along with the support of generative artificial intelligence technology will bring considerable development opportunities for businesses.
