Introducing the V Single: The Groundbreaking Smartphone Starting at 楼6499 - A Feature-Packed Global Launch
On April 21st, vivo held a spring product launch event for its X series lineup. The company unveiled two new models: the successor to the X200 (X200s) and the flagship model of the line-up, the X200 Ultra. Leitech was invited to attend this press conference.

The vivo X series has consistently distinguished itself among domestic flagships with its competitive configuration and pricing. What new features do these latest additions bring?

First up is the vivo X200s, which goes beyond a simple iteration upgrade; it incorporates changes in hardware as well as design, color options, battery life, charging speed, and ecosystem connectivity.

The screen has been updated from a deep four-micro curve to a more mainstream straight display. It features a 6.67-inch OLED panel with a resolution of 1500x3200 pixels at up to a 120Hz refresh rate, peak brightness reaching 800 nits and local maximum brightness hitting an impressive 5000 nits.

The previously criticized short-range fingerprint sensor in the X200 has been replaced with ultrasonic technology. This new system not only increases recognition speed but also functions efficiently under low light or wet conditions, providing a seamless user experience.

For color options, vivo offers four choices for its X200s: Light Purple, Mint Blue, White, and Black鈥攁ll elegantly designed to appeal across genders.

The core configuration includes the latest flagship processor from MediaTek, the Dimensity 9400+, which Leitech has previously tested.

Regarding photography capabilities, while camera specifications remain unchanged (50MP IMX921 main lens, a 50MP IMX882 periscope telephoto, and another 50MP Samsung S5KJN1 ultra-wide), there's an 'epic' software upgrade featuring new negative film style filters that adjust color during the imaging process.

The X200s also introduces AI weather dressing for photos, allowing users to alter the sky鈥檚 appearance in their images. Other notable features include a 6200mAh battery and charging options of up to 90W wired or 40W wireless power delivery.

Pricing starts at RMB3699 (12GB+256GB) and goes all the way up to RMB4999 for the highest configuration with an expansive 1TB storage option.

The vivo X200 Ultra, as its name suggests, is aimed squarely at professional users and enthusiasts who demand top-tier performance in every aspect of their phone experience.

It features three high-quality sensors: a main camera (50MP LYT-818 sensor with a large 1/1.28-inch CMOS), an ultra-wide lens also using the same sensor, and a periscope telephoto equipped with HP9X for up to two billion pixels at f/3.4 aperture.

In addition to these sensors, vivo has collaborated with Zeiss on a fourth 'lens'鈥攁 200mm long focal length extender that can be attached directly onto the phone鈥檚 camera system and is said to enhance its already impressive telephoto capabilities further.

The X200 Ultra also comes equipped with two of vivo鈥檚 proprietary image processing chips, VS1 for pre-processing tasks and V3+ handling post-processing. This combination reportedly boosts shooting speed by approximately 20%.

For video enthusiasts, the device supports full focal length recording at up to 4K resolution in both 60fps and an impressive 120fps frame rate across all three cameras.

The X200 Ultra is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor paired with a large 6.78-inch OLED display, capable of reaching peak brightness levels as high as 1600 nits while maintaining excellent color accuracy and eye protection technology.

Battery capacity stands at an impressive 6100mAh supporting up to 100W wired charging or wireless options topping out at a robust 50W.

Pricing for the X200 Ultra starts from RMB6499 (for the base model with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage) going all the way up to an exclusive photographer's kit version priced at RMB7,999.

In addition to these two phones, vivo also introduced three new products: The Pad Pro tablet series, a smaller SE variant of its pad line-up as well as their latest smartwatch model鈥擶ATCH 5.

Overall, this launch event demonstrates how vivo is positioning itself in the market with offerings that cater both to mass-market appeal and professional needs.
