Taishin Bank has announced a collaboration with Gogoro to launch a limited-edition, metallic co-branded credit card—the world’s first metal credit card featuring car key sensing functionality. This innovative card offers up to 15% cashback across all channels and is an upgrade from the popular Taishin Gogoro Rewards co-branded credit card launched in October 2022, which has already seen over 150,000 applications. Following two years of partnership, this limited edition introduces car key sensing capabilities alongside enhanced rewards.

The design was created by Gogogo and seamlessly integrates with the Smart Points program for automatic point accumulation on every transaction. Key benefits include:
- Up to 2% cashback when purchasing vehicles, plus an additional gift of 3,100 points.
- A maximum of 15% cashback on designated battery plans.
- Daily rewards up to 3% at popular outlets like convenience stores and high-speed rail stations.
- Capless 4% cashback for overseas spending.

Taishin Bank recommends applying for this co-branded card before planning international travel or vehicle purchases, as accumulated points can be used towards discounted Gogoro vehicles. For example, a $60,000 foreign expenditure could yield 2,400 points (4% cashback), which combined with existing cardholder discounts and local government subsidies, may contribute to the purchase of a Gogoro Delight model priced around NT$50,000.

Building on over three decades of partnership, Taishin Bank has also upgraded its ‘Mercedes-Benz Credit Card,’ exclusively for Mercedes-Benz owners. The new cards feature an iconic three-pointed star logo and offer global premium recognition alongside enhanced benefits, including up to 10 times the points at designated locations such as Mercedes-Benz dealerships and repair shops. Additional perks include complimentary parking for four hours daily at over one thousand city car parks.
