According to reports from BusinessKorea on April 2nd, due to expectations of record-breaking high temperatures in 2023, Samsung has already reached full capacity for its current air conditioning production more than ten days earlier compared to the previous year. Additionally, the company plans to launch a brand-new AI-equipped smart air conditioner in 2025 that uses artificial intelligence technology to detect environmental conditions and automatically adjust settings for comfort and energy efficiency.

In February this year, the Korea Meteorological Administration issued a warning about extreme climate variations likely leading to heatwaves exceeding previous years not only in intensity but also frequency. The hot weather is expected from May through September, prompting public health advisories against heat-related injuries.
The latest statistics show that South Korea's average summer temperature for 2023 was 25.6 degrees Celsius—1.9 degrees higher than usual and a record high since records began in 1973.

This has made cooling consumption an enormous business opportunity, with Samsung preparing to capitalize on it by ramping up production early and introducing advanced technology into its products.
