Panama's Foreign Minister Javier Martinez-Acha told media outlets: "Regarding these reports, I have nothing to add. Panama continues resolutely defending its territory, canal and sovereignty. Please understand one thing—this canal belongs to the Panamanian people now and in perpetuity.”
