Beijing (January 13) - As a key element of artificial intelligence, data generated from people's daily lives through new-generation internet technology is an indispensable production factor in the digital age. With its rapid development, it also serves economic and social progress.

Recently, Wang Zhanhong, founder and CEO of Shuyan Technology Co., Ltd., told China Radio International that "without artificial intelligence (AI), we will be unable to move forward in the future because data volumes are becoming so large they cannot be handled by humans or traditional computing technologies. AI is essential."

Data authenticity is crucial.
For example, when consumers browse products online and make purchases at physical stores, these common behaviors contain significant value.

"Businesses can achieve precise management through data analysis to reduce costs; also understand consumer needs better for improved services," Wang said.

When asked about discovering the value of such data in consumption scenarios, he explained that each merchant's accounting system is independent within a shopping mall. To grasp overall business performance and connect these systems effectively is critical.
"Shuyan Technology has an original technology called Data Bridging which allows two separate systems to establish connections without significant costs," Wang noted.

"Nowadays, Shuyan provides data services for nearly 2000 malls. For instance, knowing what each merchant sells can help the mall set rental standards and provide better services."

"We aim at a cost-effective way of collecting financial system data from various merchants through Data Bridging technology to establish ubiquitous connections," Wang added.

"Ensuring data authenticity is crucial before we extract its value," he emphasized.
"In AI's foundation, if all online articles were false information, the trained model would also 'speak' falsehood."

Wang stressed that while pursuing low-cost collection methods for data, it must be genuine. "In retail scenarios, ensuring transactional data accuracy prevents tampering and ensures authenticity."
"Data truthfulness is often more critical than its breadth," he concluded.

AI technology significantly reduces the cost of managing large datasets.
Beyond commercial consumption scenes, Shuyan leverages Data Bridging and AI technologies to provide comprehensive platforms in healthcare such as drug regulation, traceability systems for pharmaceuticals, smart clinics, etc. "We participated in building China's National Drug Traceability Platform," Wang said.

He cited examples like temperature control during raw material storage affecting a medicine’s efficacy or ensuring proper production processes.
"Data collection and governance are crucial steps after data acquisition."

Shuyan has developed two self-researched models for commercial and pharmaceutical sectors. "AI enables structural changes in personnel, reducing the number of people needed to process large datasets," Wang said.

"Increasing resource efficiency through multi-scenario applications can create new industries and business modes."
Wang believes that real transaction data connecting manufacturers with consumers could reduce waste.
"By analyzing such data, we aim at improving product differentiation and enhancing production efficiencies."

Shuyan is also using AI for better raw material selection to improve nutrition and health.
