The photograph’s unusual shooting angle created the impression of someone “looking at the sky from the bottom of a well.” On April 22nd, during a shareholders' meeting convened by Gree Electric Appliances Inc., Chairman Dong Mingzhu made statements that garnered significant attention and sparked controversy. She voiced safety concerns regarding electric vehicles, specifically referencing Gree Titanium New Energy Vehicles (referred to as ‘Gree Titanium’). During the meeting, Ms. Dong stated, “You’re seeing Xiaomi cars catching fire? However, Gree has not experienced any fire incidents in Beijing over the past decade. This demonstrates our strength and technology.” On April 23rd evening, Wang Hua posted on Weibo: “As water rises, one can ascend; as the tide recedes, do not seek your boat by marking its place.” This statement was interpreted by some netizens as a response to Dong Mingzhu’s earlier remarks, with many urging Wang Hua to adopt a more assertive stance.
